A festival of music & family fun held annually in Saxmundham

We are pleased to announce the 2017 Sax Music Fest line-ups have now been released!

Friday 28th and Saturday 29th July 2017. Save the Date!

Friday 28th July 2017, 5pm until 10.30pm. Local Folk evening.
Saturday 29th July 2017, 10am until 10.45pm. Mixed local bands plus a headline tribute band, Rollin Stoned.
The line-ups will also include acts from the music workshops and contestants from the open mic event. (Times may vary slightly.)

Sideshow, Food outlets and Children's rides will also be available.

PLEASE NOTE: Only alcohol purchased from the licensed bar can be consumed at the event.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: This event is not suitable for dogs. Assistance dogs only.

SAXMUNDHAM MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FRINGE EVENTS

Saxmundham’s annual Music Festival, which this year takes place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th July, in the Memorial Field, is funding two fringe events.

On Sunday 9th July, there will be an ‘Open Mic’ at Sax Social Club in Albion Street for local budding musicians. Solo, duo and three-person bands are welcome, full PA and mikes provided.
Doors open at 2pm for registration by 2.45 and a 3pm start, entry free. Phone 07780 809893 for further details.
The best acts will be invited to play on the Sax Music Fest stage on Saturday 29th July.

St Johns Church in Saxmundham is the venue at 7.30pm on Thursday 27th July for a tribute to Nat King Cole. Pre show and interval wine and soft drinks will be available in the Church Hall.
Admission is by ticket only - £6 from At The Crossroads, the Library and Crisps Stationers, High Street, Saxmundham.
All profits will go to St Johns Church.

LINE-UP 2017

The headline act for Saturday night is the fabulous The Rollin Stoned!

Friday night sees a folksey themed evening headed by the brilliant Aartwork.

MUSIC WORKSHOPS

The youth and adult workshops will return in 2017.

FAMILY FUN

Alongside the exciting music and workshops of the festival, we will also have a number of family friendly attractions.

We'll have stalls for local businesses to show off their skills and products.

FOOD & DRINK

Our varied food outlets will be catering for different tastes.

The bar will be open from 5pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday.

The SaxMusicFest is a free event organized by the Brook Farm Residents' Association and is supported with funding from several sources including the Suffolk Coastal District Council.

Full list of winnersThe SCDC Enabling Communities award was decided by a public vote, so thank you everyone who supported us.

A lot of voluntary effort and hard work goes into making the SaxMusicFest happen and it is great to see that acknowledged.
